SCRUFF - Gay Dating & Chat App Reviews

Honestly, the only ready Grindr exist now is because you guys "need" to get laid so often and thats the best available options and thats it. Scruff allows for you to view guys local and globally. Push notifications with message description is very useful. Clean UI and everyones not looking to bone. My only negative comments are that were able to view more non-local guys than actual local guys unless we pay. I can understand paying for the filters but the price just keeps increasing and increasing. And yeah, the only way for me to filter out the open relationship guys is to remove friends and chat from what Im looking for :/ But still, WAYYY better than Grindr, jackd hornet or any of those others...

Its too expensive to use the "premium" features. Its just the same losers on here day after day. Why should I pay extra or features that are commonplace by now, and dont guarantee that you will meet high quality people?

Message delivery isnt reliable. Also, too many weirdos and bots. Like Grindr, scruff is fading into irrelevancy.

As a former manhattan resident and iPhone user, I was one of the first people to start using gay dating apps and six years ago I downloaded Scruff. Three years later and three years ago, I met my boyfriend on this app. At that time, I was healing a broken heart from a previous relationship with a total bastard. Despite being absolutely disappointed, I was still out there exposing myself to the dating world of New York. My man was visiting from Israel and staying at a hotel blocks away from my apartment. As cliché as it sounds, we went from a Woof to what today is the best relationship I had dreamt for. He is the kindest, most generous and loyal man, really. I never thought it was gonna be this way and even less at that time. Now that I look backwards, I am very grateful with this app. I still have it in my phone and the newest version is just top-notch. This year, my job transferred me to Europe and I travel often between London, Paris, Berlin and many remote cities. This app makes me feel part of a community that no other platform has done me before. I chat and meet with guys all the time and I look forward to many years of friendship with my Scruff connections.

Excellent app. Great for meeting other people, finding out about events within the area,and making and sharing photo albums. Nice app to have.

SCRUFF is the absolute best app for meeting guys. I love the Venture feature, where you can post your travel itinerary and chat with locals even before you arrive. SCRUFF also shows you events from all over the world, so you can attend concerts and bar-hop internationally! The community is also the best out there. I find the guys are more genuine and sociable than on other apps. A+!

I enjoy the app and how it has progressed over time. I would like to see a clearing functionality of the profiles viewed/woofd, those who have viewed/woofd my profile, and opened their private photos albums. The private album would lock on that other end. May be that function could be for paying members only. Otherwise I enjoy it.

Doesnt matter what you are looking for. Hookups, friends, travel advice, man candy, its all here. And the scruff team is awesome. Very active in our community. If they do an event near you definitely take the time to meet them. You wont regret it.

I really dont care about all the extra stuff that costs extra. I think it should be ad - based with a possible one-time IAP to unlock more guys, profile viewers etc. The free version isnt free due to the ads constantly popping up and Im sure the on-going subscription doesnt alleviate it.

Like how it keeps current on the upcoming LGBT events local as well around the globe. The tiles are much clearer and easier to see. Great updates.

Why even give the option to share an album if you have to be a Pro member to view photos? Absolutely pointless and ridiculous feature. Zero stars.

Im beginning to think alas these updates are just to get rid of the bad reviews. I see no difference with the app. For a moment the whose on line section changed to show guys within reasonable distance about 150 miles and closer. That was a nice effect for about the two days it lasted. - Same local people over and over. No new faces. - Who cares about someone thousands of miles away. Is someone going to buy me or them a ticket to travel. Or who got woofed the most. - Where are the single guys... ! - Features are all pay pay pay and pays lots. Almost all other apps offer free age range searches. - You cant see the full conversation you just had with someone unless pay pay pay. - I could go on and on but.... + Black background is easy on eyes. + Allows for a more descriptive profile than other apps of this type. > Recommend pulling back a little on the greed and make a few more features free. This app is dying! (If aint already)
